Last night, a dinner with friends at Lanci’s in Saratoga. Highly recommended if you are looking for a marathon home-cooked feast in good company. The Lanci family knows how to make customers feel welcome, special and at home. I enjoyed their version of bolognese over fettuccine, along with the addition of that night’s “verdute” which was a broccoli rabe sautéed with garlic, pine nuts and golden raisins. Delicious and fulfilling.
Make sure to get there early (no reservations) as Lanci’s only seats about twenty at capacity and they are almost always packed. Also of note are their communal, regionally themed dinners which look well-planned and enticing. Keep an eye on their website for updates.
